    Service was great, food was better. A cafeteria atmosphere but the food more then makes up for it. I highly recommend it. Very reasonable prices.

    I recently visited la fragata to try their food; their menu was simple and their prices were very affordable not to mentioned their very generous amount of food per plate . I'm looking forward to my next visit where I will continue to sample their menu.

    Have tried good fresh seafood at a decent price in Brownsville and I found it. Have been there 3 times in two weeks.
    They greet you with chips and salsa, and a piping hot cup of (tomato based) fish broth and crackers. The combo fried fish fillet and shrimp with fries and salad is only $7.99. They serve many traditional Mexican seafood dishes at really good prices. Loved it!

    Good food, nice waitresses, & great family owned place. Maybe a little outdated in the decor but still a cute lil place with yummy seafood.

    Food was ok, the seafood platter came with fries and a salad the "salad" was literally iceberg lettuce with a single tomato slice a half an oniion slice and no dressing....All the seafood was breaded and fried. The service was just ok as well she seemed frazzled and didnt remove any used plates. Had to request refills of water to get any... We were the only ones in the restraunt at the time.
